Overview
MICU RN role at Senior Helpers. This position is for an adult critical care setting requiring advanced nursing care for patients with life-threatening conditions. The nurse applies specialized knowledge in assessment, therapies, and evaluation of patient responses, initiating care, health teaching, and counseling under the direction of the appropriate client representative on the assigned Adult Critical Care Unit.
Base pay range: $58.00/hr - $58.00/hr the actual pay is based on skills and experience. This range is provided by Senior Helpers.

Responsibilities- Complies with ATC policies/procedures and client facility nursing policies/procedures.
- Conducts individualized patient assessments and prioritizes data collection based on patient needs and condition.
- Performs ongoing nursing assessments and develops an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the team.
- Collaborates with team members to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized care plan.
- Performs treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Performs hemodynamic monitoring as ordered and documents findings.
- Provides patient and family teaching and counseling.
- Documents patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to interventions.
- Initiates emergency measures according to adult and facility resuscitation protocols.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
- Advocates patient rights related to advance directives and organ donation.
- Delivers care in a non-judgmental, culturally competent manner that preserves autonomy, rights, and dignity.
- Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift and follows facility protocols.
- Maintains competency in adult critical care nursing and complies with state requirements and continuing education.
- Adheres to ethical standards of nursing practice as defined by relevant professional bodies.
- Demonstrates the ability to delegate appropriately.

- Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. - Licensure:
Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice. - Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS (as required by facilities). - Experience:
2 years' experience in Adult Critical Care Unit in the last two years; travel experience preferred. - Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months; current ICU experience with adult, medical, surgical, cardiac and related patient needs; pediatric cases with medical needs considered.
- CPR at least ACLS level; TNCC may be required by some facilities; health and screening tests as required.
Various client facility settings; potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
