Summary/Objective

The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver’s license or State issued I.D. – MUST BE VALID.
  • TWIC card in hand or the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
  • Understand and follows verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic Safety Training Skills.
  • Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience preferred but not required.
  • General labor experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
  • Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
Vacuum Truck Operator

Class A & B CDL

Classification:
Non-Exempt (Hourly).

Department:
Industrial Services Division.

Reports to:

Branch Manager.

The Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.
