As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment—including hydraulic components, diesel engines, electrical motors, and crane operations—for construction and agricultural equipment. You will also identify additional safety and mechanical issues, submit quotes, and complete work orders each day. If you are assigned a field territory, you must be able to park a company vehicle at your residence and meet a solid DMV record requirement.

• Perform maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Operate and rig cranes to assist in equipment repair.
• Diagnose problems and develop effective repair solutions.
• Prepare and submit accurate work orders and quotes.
• Maintain safety standards and identify additional repair needs.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors on daily assignments.
• Work independently or as part of a team, ensuring efficient performance.
• Adhere to union and company policies regarding safety, quality, and customer service.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 10 years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics and electrohydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including electrical.
• Clear written communication of equipment findings.
• Ability to work safely under pressure with general directions.
• Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and dealer applications.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Commitment to full attendance and availability for overtime and weekends.
• Qualified DMV record, background check, and drug screening.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with a lifting device.

• ASE certifications.
• Technical school certificate of completion.
• Master Certified Technician credential.

• Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, push, pull, squat, and/or remain balanced for extended periods.
• Reach above and below the shoulder; use repetitive hand, wrist, and forearm movements.
• Operate hand tools and controls on a routine basis.
• Twist neck and waist frequently.
• Drive equipment, including forklifts and motor vehicles, over long distances.
• Use tablets and typing tools regularly.
• Work safely in all weather conditions.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers.
• Work at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
• Noise levels may fluctuate.
