Martinez – Relationship Manager 2 – Full Time – Onsite ()
Nuvision Federal Credit Union is seeking a Relationship Manager II in Martinez, CA. The role focuses on providing superior member service, identifying member needs, and recommending appropriate solutions while meeting performance goals and revenue targets. The incumbent will handle transactions, manage account openings and closures, coach teammates, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Consult with members, identify needs, offer solutions, and follow up on pending transactions.
- Process and fund all consumer and small‑business loan types, including closed‑end signature, LOC, VISA, automobile, personal, toy, RV, HELOC, and other secured loans.
- Utilize call reports to generate additional business during work hours and scheduled call nights.
- Open new member accounts (savings, checking, money market, trust, certificates, IRA) and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform account maintenance, including address changes, name changes, joint‑owner updates, beneficiary updates, account closures, and notary services.
- Assist with leadership functions in the absence of branch management and coach teller line staff.
- Observe and suggest alternative profiling methods for member accounts.
- Identify and report suspicious behavior or potential fraud.
- Complete all required training and compliance modules.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and credit‑union events such as car sales, open houses, and open enrollments.
- Represent the Credit Union positively and professionally at all times.
- Maintain member and sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Treat all team members and members with respect.
- Minimum 18 months’ experience at a financial institution with prior loan experience and a proven track record of meeting service and performance goals.
- Strong knowledge of deposit and loan products, including trust, IRA, certificates, and the APP (loan decisioning system).
- Proven ability to generate business.
- Proficiency in PC operations and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person and over the phone.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to listen, understand, and anticipate member needs.
- Member‑service and organizational skills.
- Empathy, caring nature, and genuine interest in helping members.
- Willingness to make a difference.
- Personable and professional demeanor.
- Coaching or mentoring experience.
- Completion of all compliance‑related coursework.
- Notary experience.
- NMLS registration.
- 24 months of experience at Nuvision, with prior loan experience and current accomplishment of service and performance goals.
- Proven ability to generate business through community development.
- Coaching or mentoring experience.
- Bi‑lingual preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay ScaleNorthern California:
Minimum $27.17 – Mid $33.96 – Max $40.75 per hour. Final pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
