About the Team – The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psycho educational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based student support team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but some in-person work will be required throughout the year.

Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face‑to‑face attendance will be required several times per year to support in‑person state testing and student events.

About the Opportunity
  • Conduct virtual psycho educational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of special education services, IEPs, evaluations, and compliance documentation
  • Complete initial evaluations and re‑evaluбайtions
  • Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele‑assessment standards
  • Conduct other portions of the evaluation, segundo interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
  • Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
  • Present evaluation findings at team meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
  • Maintain knowledge of principles and evidence‑based practices
  • Attend relevant training offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
  • Collaborate on intervention planning, MTSS, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to address learning and behavioral needs
  • Support and coach staff through assigns and team meetings

    And records and help maintain compliance with all required reports

About You
  • Experience in school or special education settings preferred
  • Active West Virginia Psychologist License
  • Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality

    Have familiarity with a variety of evaluation tools
  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated

  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability
