CITY OF MARTINSBURG
UTILITY TECHNICIAN I
The City of Martinsburg Utility Department is now accepting applications for full time Utility Technicians.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Successful Candidate will perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled routine manual labor assisting staff with water distribution and sewer collection line maintenance. Must have experience and knowledge of basic construction work, lawn care and custodial duties, and ability to operate various tools and equipment necessary for minor building repairs and ground maintenance.
Applicant must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including the ability to work outside in all types of weather and the ability to work in confined spaces. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Extreme physical labor over long period of time is required of the position.
Starting annual salary of $36,925 with an excellent benefits package. The City of Martinsburg is an equal opportunity employer. EEO/AA.
