Director of Safety​/Chief of Police

Provide strategic leadership and oversight at the district level to ensure high-quality programs, services, and operations that support student achievement and organizational effectiveness. Develop, implement, and evaluate district-wide initiatives aligned with the district’s mission and goals; supervise and support building administrators and staff; manage budgets and resources; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; analyze data to inform decision-making; and collaborate with the superintendent, school board, and community stakeholders.

Lead professional development efforts, oversee program evaluation, and promote continuous improvement across schools and departments. The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations. The role also requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods;

move throughout the classroom and school; and lift and carry materials or equipment weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.

Valid teaching license/certificate. Prefer relevant teaching experience.

Salary is based on experience and certification.
