CNC ROUTER PROGRAMMER/OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis routers, translating design specifications into machine-ready programs.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications to determine the most effective approach for CNC routing.
• Select appropriate tooling, adjust machine settings, and calibrate tools for optimal performance and precision.
• Create accurate programs for CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing errors or material waste utilizing Alpha Cam software.
• Set up and operate CNC router machines, primarily involving solid wood and veneered panels.
• Conduct test runs and quality checks to validate programming and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CNC programming, machining processes, or equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure continuous production.
• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in CNC programming.
• Proficiency in Alpha Cam CAD/CAM software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours when required.
