American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact license and at least one completed travel assignment.

• Acute-care hospital Emergency Department setting with 34 beds
• Serves all patient ages with common diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Medhost EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Weekend coverage required as needed, every other weekend
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute hospital setting
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• Must be a professional, positive, compassionate team player

• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a full-service acute-care hospital
• Facility accredited for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure care
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual attire is not permitted
• Random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
