Description
First Piedmont Corporation, a Regional Waste Removal and Disposal employer, is hiring a Truck Switcher/ Heavy Equipment Operator at our Martinsville Transfer Station.
General Duties to include, but not limited to- Spot and maneuver trucks, trailers, or containers inside the facility yard to prepare them for loading, unloading, or transport
- Prepping the trailers for hauling by tarping and un-tarping them
- Conduct daily equipment checks, ensure safe vehicle operations, and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Backup loader operator
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with FPC's safety policies and procedures to load waste into trailers
Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
Requires Good Driving Record

RequirementsFirst Piedmont Corporation, a Regional Waste Removal and Disposal employer, is hiring a Truck Switcher at our Martinsville transfer station.
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license or a Commercial Driver's License
- Must have a great driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, perform repetitive tasks, and comply with safety-sensitive drug and alcohol policies
