Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Hanover, MD

Job Type: Full‑Time

Position Summary: The Senior Accountant supports operations through accurate financial reporting, cash management, and disciplined month‑end and year‑end close processes. This role ensures the integrity of general ledger activity by reconciling subsidiary accounts—including payroll, net assets, and liabilities. The position prepares complex financial reports and analyzes costs, revenues, and financial commitments to support forecasting and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily/Monthly tasks include recording daily cash entries, performing timely bank and account reconciliations and associated journal entries.
• For Month/Year End, play a key role in month‑end and year‑end close processes by ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger (net assets, payroll, and net liabilities accounts).
• Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare complex financial reports.
• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
