Our client, a leading commercial construction company in Laurel, MD, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join their team.

As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of commercial roofing projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all estimates are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or issues
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing
• Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for submission to clients
• Maintain cost databases and update pricing information as needed
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-bid negotiations with clients
• Work closely with project management team to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates
• Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitiveness
• Provide support and guidance to junior estimators as needed

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, with a focus on roofing projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, materials, and techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
