Position Overview:

Our Dental Treatment Coordinator role plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive the care they need by clearly presenting treatment plans, discussing financial options, and efficiently managing patient schedules. This position requires strong organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer / patient service.
Candidates must have a background in scheduling within a medical field and/or experience working in the dental industry to be considered for this role.

Background in scheduling in the a medical field and/or experience in the dental industry.

Communication

Ability to explain dental topics and treatment plans clearly to patients.

Financial Management:Knowledge of financial systems and payment procedures.

A personable, charismatic, and positive approach to patient care.

Resilience:Capacity to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

Adaptability:Willingness to learn new medical topics and adapt to changing situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present and explain treatment plans to patients in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner.
  • Discuss financial options, including insurance benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and payment plans.
  • Answer patient questions and address any concerns about treatment and costs.
Scheduling & Office Coordination
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments while optimizing the provider’s schedule.
  • Follow up with patients about pending treatments, rescheduling, and reminders.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience and timely treatments.
Insurance & Payment Assistance
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their benefits.
  • Work with insurance providers to obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
  • Assist in processing payments, managing financing options, and resolving billing inquiries.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system.
  • Ensure proper documentation of treatment discussions and financial agreements.
  • Provide support for front desk duties, including answering phone calls and checking in patients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Candidates must have a background in scheduling within a medical field and/or experience working in the dental industry to be considered for this role.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and treatment planning is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with scheduling / medical practice management software.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
