Clinical Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, metabolic disorders, and hormone imbalances
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrine consultations and follow-up care
  • Manage insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), insulin pumps, and other diabetes technologies as appropriate
  • Perform and interpret thyroid and neck ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Perform ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies and other office-based endocrine procedures as appropriate
  • Interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, bone density scans, and endocrine function assessments
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, diabetes educators, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Document high-quality, compliant clinical notes in the EMR and support clinic access, throughput, and patient experience
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes (e.g., A1C optimization, care-gap closure, workflow standardization)
  • Participate in practice call coverage and practice meetings as required
Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
  • Active Maryland physician medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider)
  • Unrestricted medical license with no history of suspension or revocation
