Position Details:

• Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Reports to: School principal or designee.
• Supervises: N/A
• Job Goal: To enable each child to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival.
• Reviews plans and schedules with the principal or designee.
• Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teaches the lesson prepared by the absent teacher.
• Consults with the principal or designee before initiating procedures not specified by the absent teacher.
• Oversees pupil behavior during assigned periods.
• Reports daily activities in writing on the provided form.
• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Uses the electronic call-in service (Aesop) for assignments, following specific instructions left by the absent teacher.

Terms of Employment: Daily as assigned.

Salary Lane: Daily rate for qualified candidates.
