We are looking for a passionate Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3 in our exceptional Nursery team. Could that be you?
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be passionate about caring for children and truly making a difference and be willing to be qualified to Level 3.
About the PositionUnder the guidance of experienced teachers, the Apprentice Teaching Assistant will be involved in the following activities:
- Assist in implementing learning activities for individual or small groups of pupils, supporting their educational, personal, and social development.
- Help in developing pupils' varying skills to enhance their learning experience.
- Support the creation and preparation of learning resources.
- Aid in the supervision of pupils to ensure their safety and well-being during school hours.
- Assist in monitoring and recording pupil progress, identifying their developmental needs.
- Communicate pupil progress and observations to the teacher to inform future planning and interventions.
- Work towards the completion of the Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship framework, managing coursework and deadlines effectively.
- Undertake tasks typically associated with a Teaching Assistant to enhance your training and development.
While experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age is desirable, it is not essential. The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with parents, teachers, and pupils.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational abilities to handle various tasks effectively.
- A good sense of humour to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Understanding and adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Basic proficiency in using IT tools and software.
As part of this role, the successful candidate will work towards completing the Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship standard. If the candidate has not already achieved GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English, they will be required to complete functional skills assessments as part of the apprenticeship.
