Location: Great Mills
Classroom Aide – 2 year olds – Little Flower Catholic School – Great Mills, Maryland
Little Flower Catholic School is hiring a Classroom Aide for the 2 year old class. The position is full‑time, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. It reports to the Principal and offers an hourly rate of $15.00 with excellent benefits. The role begins January 26, 2026.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience.

- Actively foster and support Catholic beliefs, traditions and practices.
- Reflect the Catholic Church’s teaching on social justice and witness service to others.
- Assist in planning liturgical ceremonies such as Mass, penance services and prayer services as required.
- Lead and encourage prayer in the classroom.
- Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies as required.
- Coordinate duties with the classroom teacher.
- Assist in creating lesson plans that align with the Archdiocese standards.
- Prepare instructional lessons for individual students and small groups.
- Plan and prepare teaching aids to enhance instruction.
- Prepare lesson materials for use by the teacher and students.
- Display students’ work and prepare bulletin boards.
- Type, laminate, file and duplicate materials.
- Grade and record student work and tests.
- Present subject matter under the guidance of the teacher.
- Work with small groups to reinforce prior instruction and provide remedial help.
- Assist students during independent practice times.
- Administer make‑up work and assessments.
- Support the teacher during classroom instruction.
- Plan and deliver individual and group instruction including lectures, discussion and hands‑on activities.
- Use assessment data to differentiate instruction.
- Support and enforce classroom procedures to optimize instructional time.
- Maintain a positive learning environment based on mutual respect.
- Set high expectations for achievement.
- Ensure Catholic values are the basis of all interactions.
- Use assessments to inform the teacher of student progress.
- Attend parent conferences as required.
- Communicate routinely with the teacher to understand expectations.
- Produce weekly reports on small‑group and remedial instruction accomplishments.
- Perform duties such as car‑pool, recess, lunch, and teacher substitution as needed.
- Sponsor clubs and other school activities as required.
- Attend Home‑and‑School meetings and after‑hour events.
- Participate in all required faculty and professional development meetings.
- Knowledge of child development and supervision.
