Remote BIM Manager

Our client, a cutting-edge construction technology firm, is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Remote BIM Manager to lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across their diverse portfolio of projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of BIM software, workflows, standards, and best practices, with a proven ability to drive efficiency and collaboration in a digital construction environment.

You will be instrumental in setting BIM standards, training teams, and ensuring the successful integration of BIM technologies into all project phases, significantly enhancing project delivery and reducing risks.

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Manage and coordinate BIM models for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashes and interferences identified in the models.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams on BIM software and processes.
• Develop and deliver BIM training programs for internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to define BIM requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and advancements in BIM technology and recommend adoption of new tools and techniques.
• Ensure the effective use of BIM for design visualization, cost estimation, scheduling, and facility management.
• Oversee the creation and management of BIM content libraries.
• Champion the adoption and benefits of BIM across the organization.

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in BIM coordination, management, or implementation within the construction industry.
• Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of various BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills, with the ability to effectively manage a remote team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
