IssuesThe original fire alarm design included fire smoke detectors in the food processing area, which is a F-1 occupancy. Airborne milk/cheese dust is causing false alarms to the fire alarm system.
Actions TakenI wrote a letter to the AHJ recommending the SDs be removed.
StatusThe AHJ has noted that, per NFPA 101, a Fire Protection Engineer must first perform a Dust Hazard Analysis.
