2. This position requires fulltime on-site work at our Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD location or our Annapolis Junction, MD location. This is a dual-role technical manager position including people management and direct program leadership contribution. The split between program and functional duties will be approximately 80% program and 20% functional, on average. The direct program work may include technical work, IPT leadership, or any other appropriate technical function.

Job responsibilities include developing requirements; developing and maintaining technology roadmaps; communicating with and facilitating vendor interaction; providing guidance to a multidisciplinary team of semiconductor industry experts and providing career guidance and feedback for the team. As a member of our team you will:
* Support a team of 10-15 technical staff in management role. Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development.

* Lead a team of systems engineers supporting the development of an advanced microelectronics fabrication line.

* Inform stakeholders and program managers for status updates, issue resolution, and overall engineering execution.

* Partner with program management office to ensure successful execution against cost and schedule targets.

* Provide technical leadership to the team and ensuring proper engineering processes and procedures are followed.

* Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance.

* Develop and maintain technology roadmaps

* Oversee requirements derivation, tracking, and adjudication

* Identify business process gaps and define systems engineering guided solutions Basic Qualifications for Factory Systems Engineering Manager 2:
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience;
Master of Science degree in STEM related field with 6+ years of relevant technical experience;
PhD in STEM related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.

* Experience in microelectronics manufacturing or semiconductor fabs, including experience with semiconductor CIM components.

* Experience managing and prioritizing projects of a large scale.

* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence, etc.

* This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements

Preferred Qualifications for Factory Systems Engineering Manager 2:
* Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 6+ years within a related engineering field.

* Experience managing teams of 10 or more.

* Experience with Applied Materials Smart Factory Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) solution

* Experience with EVMS

* Experience managing and prioritizing projects of a large scale.

* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence
