Job Summary: The Warranty / Customer Quality Engineer serves as the primary technical interface between the company and its customers for all warranty, return, and customer quality-related issues. This role is responsible for driving rapid containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent recurrence of defects. The engineer supports ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance and continuous improvement across manufacturing and field service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Quality & Complaint Management- Review customer portals daily for new issues.
- Initiate containment actions for customer complaints.
- Respond promptly to customer escalations.
- Lead customer-driven 8
Ds and Corrective Action Reports (CARs). - Prepare customer-facing reports summarizing issues, RCA, and actions.
- Verify customer-specific requirements and documentation.
- Monitor corrective action effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
- Analyze warranty claims, returns, and field failure trends.
- Identify systemic issues, recurring defects, and opportunities.
- Partner with engineering, operations, service, and supply chain to resolve issues.
- Benchmark performance against customer scorecards and industry standards.
- Present customer trends and warranty insights internally and externally.
- Support customer audit readiness and evidence preparation.
- Lead lessons-learned reviews and ensure cross-functional deployment.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with customer quality teams.
- Ensure complaint, warranty, and CAR processes comply with ISO 9001:2015.
- Support improvements in inspection, PFMEA, control plans, and validations.
- Support internal audits and closure of customer-related nonconformances.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
- 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, warranty, or customer quality.
- Experience leading or supporting 8D and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific quality systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing warranty or field data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
