Systems Engineer
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD, 20701
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Employment Type: Full-Time
. This role requires experience gathering requirements, producing engineering documentation, and creating project roadmaps and schedules to ensure timely delivery of data services. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and should possess a solid understanding of enterprise data flow architectures.
Salary Range:
$129,000 – $153,000 (USD/year)
Does not include discretionary bonus compensation or benefits package.
Final compensation is based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
Manage and engineer end-to-end data flow solutions, including data transformation into standard data models.
Elicit, document, and refine system and user requirements.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, roadmaps, and project schedules.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and coordinate with external customers to understand data needs and source system architectures.
Participate as a key contributor in an Agile development environment.
Ensure technical integrity, completeness, and quality of engineering deliverables.
Communicate engineering decisions and considerations with government stakeholders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline + 6 years of systems engineering experience
Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline + 4 years of systems engineering experience
High school diploma or GED + 10 years of general systems engineering experience
Qualified Engineering Fields may include:
Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Proficiency across the full systems engineering lifecycle:
Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and RetirementStrong project management skills including task breakdown, scheduling, and milestone tracking
Ability to work with diverse technical teams and interface directly with government and contractor personnel
Experience documenting engineering artifacts and developing implementation strategies
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Skills:
Experience working with Cyber Security Directorate (CSD) or similar mission areas
Familiarity with mission data flow architectures and cyber data pipelines
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this role.
