- Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
- Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor’s representatives, and others regarding site, project requirements, and testing results.
- Transport material samples with associated documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, perform pre-task planning, and report safety concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects and document findings clearly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.
- Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
$19.75 – $27.75 per hour. Final compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
