Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $87,934 - $140,000

Senior Systems Engineer leading a team of software and hardware engineers maintaining a range safety system.

Essential Job Functions:

Leads the effort to analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors.

Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software for ATC&LS.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field plus 8 years of experience is required.

Ability to lead a diverse team of software and hardware engineers to maintain and upgrade a range safety system combining multiple sensor inputs into a comprehensive display and control system.

Experience with C++ and C# in Microsoft Visual Studio development environments including .NET.

At least 6 years of experience with the Navy or other DoD activities related to ATC&LS.

Desired Skills:

Master's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or aerospace engineering.

Experience with at least two of the following systems: FACSFAC Air Control Tracking System (FACTS), Integrated Range Status System (IRSS), Multi-sensor Operator Console (MOCON), Ground Based Sense and Avoid (GBSAA) Operator Console (GOCon), En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADSB), and Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI).
