Job Summary
As an RF Test Technician, you will conduct RF measurements on semiconductor components such as amplifiers, switches, filters, mixers, multi-chip modules, and integrated microwave assemblies that operate from DC to 40 GHz. You will use moderate problem solving which will require a solid understanding of Engineering standards and the ability to comprehend basic block diagrams. You will prepare complex test reports and data in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and may help write Acceptance Testing Procedures.
Testing will include Thermal Tests, Troubleshooting/problem solving, debugging of moderate to complex problems. Use a variety of test equipment.
Job Responsibility- Conducting manual and automated production tests on RF semiconductor components
- Recording and organizing test results and communicate the status of various production efforts
- Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronics measurement equipment
- Developing an understanding of operation, and parametric behavior of RF components
- Performing occasional surface mount assembly/rework with hand soldering equipment
- Working with the engineering design team to prototype and characterize new products
- 3+ years of work experience with RF electronics device testing at the component level
- High School Diploma
- Familiarity with electronic circuits fundamentals, and RF measurement methods
- Ability to use lab test equipment including vector network analyzers, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, digital multi-meters, and basic electronic tools
- Associate Degree in Electronics
Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $42,900 - $85,800 for a Level III at Marriottsville MD USA. The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.
