Lead, Testing

Join X-energy as the Lead, Testing. You will provide technical leadership, manage resources, mentor team members, and coordinate test planning and execution for nuclear technology advancement.

• Develop and enforce standard processes for technology maturation, test planning, and execution.
• Lead test activities, ensuring high‑quality work products are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Engage universities, contractors, national labs, and internal assets to obtain critical test data.
• Manage a testing facility team, create and implement test plans, procure materials, review data, and report findings.
• Support engineering resources across multiple assignments, promote staff development, and make high‑level decisions in complex operational areas.
• Assure testing activities meet Quality Assurance requirements and maintain professional communication at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering or related discipline.
• Seven plus years of professional engineering experience; graduate degrees count as two plus years.
• Background in commissioning procedure writing preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware development, testing, and experimentation.
• Experience designing experiments and test planning.
• Experience with a formal quality assurance framework such as ISO 9000, ASTM, or NQA‑1.
• Leadership experience on hardware and testing projects.

Salary range: $150,000 – $189,750 based on experience and location.
