Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated Manager 2 - Material Control and Planning for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry provides unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities spanning from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

Candidates must be strong team participants, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful as well as multi-disciplinary. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology, direct process development experience and production background is essential. What You'll get to Do:
* Lead the ATL Material Control and Planning team for the ATL Foundry, overseeing all production planning, scheduling and material control teams. This includes managing Material Management and Material Control Operations and ensuring that ATL has the right materials at the right time to minimize waste and control costs.

* Collaborate with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Quality and Manufacturing Engineering (QME) organizations to procure materials, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and Foundry directives.

* Work closely across functions with GSC, QME, ATL Foundry Engineering, Components Engineering, Finance, auditors and all business units within the ATL Foundry to align inventory levels with schedules and forecasts, minimizing material risks.

* Guide the Foundry Material Planning team in collaborating with internal Engineering groups to develop robust material requirement plans that guarantee material availability for all ATL production and development activities.

* Support SAP planned production order processing, manual requisition writing, material kitting.

* Support budget planning for Foundry materials and ATL charging distribution system (CDS). Manage and define material data and documentation, including m-cards and Material Definitions, within NGMC document management systems to support foundry operations.

* Exhibit strong leadership skills, including a command of oral and written skills, multitask, and manage a team of employees with diverse skills and responsibilities. #NGATL

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering or related field and minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, material control, production control, manufacturing, supply chain management, and/or production environment;
Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience as discussed above.

* 3+ years of demonstrated successful people management experience.

* Experienced in presenting to executive staff / leadership.

* Experience with basic manufacturing and production concepts.

* Experience in the semiconductor or related industry.

* U.S. Citizenship required

* The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.

* Exhibit strong leadership skills, including a command of oral and written skills, multitask, and manage a team of employees with diverse skills and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
