Territory Sales Manager @ Pro-Fabricators LLC | Relationship Development, Manufacturing ProcessesWe are seeking a highly skilled and professional CAD/CAMManufacturing Engineer/Design Drafting/Management Team Member to bridge the gap between design and production in our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a hardworking individual with extensive experience in production management, CAD/CAM software. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and IT/system management skills to ensure efficient and high-quality fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Engineering and CAM Programming- Program and operate CNC machinery, including Vertical and Horizontal Mills, Lathe, Press Brake, Fiber Laser, and Plasma cutters (e.g., 8'x20' and 8'x40' Plasma).
- Design and modify products based on customer requirements, including performing site visits as needed.
- Improve efficiency and ease of fabrication by modifying existing customer product designs.
- Perform reverse engineering of existing designs.
- Interpret hand sketches and drawings to create finished products.
- Determine optimal tooling and cutting parameters based on material and setup, and plan/execute manufacturing processes.
- Conduct research and development (R&D) on new products.
- Manage all work in progress (WIP) and inventory control.
- Support all aspects of estimating and purchasing raw materials.
- Utilize 3D CAD and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in all design and drafting work.
- Manage the company's CAD Style and deploy the network for additional users.
- Maintain and manage all electronic CAD files on the server, ensuring file control of all drawing files, both old and new.
- Maintain strict revision control on all programs, designs, and documentation.
- Manage software automation, equipment automation, and CMM/3D Laser scanning processes.
- Manage and train shop personnel in proper equipment operation (e.g., laser operation).
- Develop and maintain working relations with customers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifically ISO 9001 and NIST 800, including QMS internal management and providing training.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with expertise in production management, scheduling.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360), CAM software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (JobBoss2 preferred).
- CAD/CAM
Skills:
Highly skilled in drawing interpretation, design review, GD&T, CMM, and 3D Laser scanning. - System Knowledge: Experience with industry standards such as ISO 9001, NIST 800, and DFARS.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a demanding work environment.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows XP/Vista/7/10/11.
