Job Summary: Med Star Health is looking for an Environmental Services Aide to join our team y’s Hospital! As an Environmental Services Aide, you will perform duties as a customer service liaison between Environmental Services, Plant Operations and Food and Nutrition Departments. Wash walls, venetian blinds, woodwork, and light fixtures. Clean hospital rooms and equipment upon discharge of patient. Use powered and hand cleaning equipment.

• Perform environmental maintenance on nurse’s stations and office waiting areas, bathrooms, clean and soiled utility rooms by removing trash and cleaning horizontal surfaces (sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors).
• Assist the Environmental Services Supervisor with environmental maintenance by reporting repair and cleaning needs outside of their capabilities.
• Perform unit environmental maintenance to ensure a clean environment by placing used and unused linen in soiled holding area.
• Document daily isolation discharge cleaning, monthly cubicle curtains and scheduled terminal cleans.
• Restock rooms after patient discharge and reset rooms for the next patient.
• Ensure cleaning and removal of all equipment from rooms when a patient is discharged.
• Report any complaints to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Collect trash and segregate trash by placing it into categories: recyclable, hazardous, sharps and general waste.

• High School Diploma or GED.

Salary Range: USD $17.50 - $28.73/hr.
