The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high‑quality patient care environment. The Manager recruits, hires, and oversees orientation and training for all clinical and clerical staff within the practice. Administrative and operational responsibilities include all aspects of accounts receivables, maximizing patient flow, and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence.

4 Years of directly related experience AND 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity in a physician practice or related medical setting - Substituable
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree with 2 years of directly related experience with 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity in a physician practice or related medical setting; - Bachelor's degree with 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity in a physician practice or related medical setting OR has at least 1 year of prior supervisory or lead experience in a medical or physician practice setting, and has successfully completed the LMC Fellowship (or is within the acceptable interview period with successful completion pending);
- Master's degree with 1 year of prior supervisory or lead experience in a physician practice or related medical setting (successful completion, or within the interview period with successful completion pending, of the LMC Fellowship may be counted as the 1 year of supervisory/lead experience).
- Required Certifications/Licensure:
None. - Required Training:
Knowledge of current medical terminology, ICD and CPT coding practices;
Knowledge of computers, specifically related to healthcare needs, such as word processing and spreadsheet applications;
Familiarity with financial reports and performance indicators.
- Manages all administrative and operational functions associated with the practice to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Oversight responsibility includes inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow.
- Develops and implements new office procedures as necessary to improve office flow and overall operations. Provides recommendations and follow‑up actions to operational inefficiencies.
- Manages the daily operations of the physician practice including staff scheduling, cash reconciliation, charge entry, and other related operational "checks and balances."
- Works with the Central Billing office to ensure Accounts Receivable is optimally liquidated, denials are minimized, refunds are issued, and customer service is exemplified.
- Interviews, hires, orients, trains, supervises and evaluates physician practice staff. Responsible for optimizing staffing resources, scheduling staff, assigning work, as well as ensuring consistent performance remediation actions, where and when applicable.
