What You’re DoStaff chaplains work as members of the health care team for the well being of the whole person and for the general improvement of the overall health of the community. Staff chaplains work to create a person oriented environment in order to meet the non-medical needs of patients, their families, and staff, by offering spiritual and emotional care regardless of race, socio-economic status, or religious affiliation.
Requirements- Experience as a minister in a church or experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain.
- Ordination, licensure, or official letter of affiliation with documented credentials/experience from a recognized religious body.
- One Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three years' experience as a minister in a church, or one year experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain.
