About the Role:
Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dedicated healthcare team! Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with various physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including treatment activities, exercises, and education, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
- Monitor patient progress, report on treatment outcomes, and make recommendations for continued care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment and progress
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop effective treatment plans
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
- Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
