EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for all HR functions across departments: employee relations, recruiting, selection, onboarding, administration of HR programs and employment policies, Ad week compliance with HR laws and regulations.
- Develop and oversee job posting content to market a consistent message to candidates.
- Organize and attend on‑site recruiting events at local colleges and other establishments.
- Act as liaison between team members and management to answer questions and concerns regarding company policies, practices, and harder regulations.
- Resolve routine team member relations issues and complaints, referring complex issues to the HR Director as needed.
- Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutionsথ.
- Assist team members and managers with general HR issues: benefits, terminations, policy interpretation, and other HR deliverables.
- Assist with communicating changes and conducting team member presentations.
- Participate in staff meetings and expand knowledge in all HR disciplines through training and continuing education.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding on‑boarding, employment, team member relations, and terminations.
- Conduct and analyze exit interview data and make recommendations for corrective action, continuous improvement, and retention.
- Manage the entire licensing process for new hires and renewals.
- Work as part of the HR Team to ensure excellence in service to our team members.
- Manage team member recognition programs and events.
- Responsible for absence management tracking and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience with recruiting technology is a plus.
- High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to independently manage multiple competing demands.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly responsive to both candidates and hiring managers.
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Human Resources, Business, or related fields.
- 3–5 years’ experience recruiting for all levels within an organization.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a gaming license issued by the Maryland State Lottery & Gaming Control Agency.
