Database Administrator
Location: Hanover
Database Engineers / Administrators - multiple levels - CLEARANCE and POLYGRAPH REQUIRED
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, IAVA, Oracle, RDBMS, PL/SQL, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra
Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.
- Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience with Oracle Database Administration including replication technologies
- Experience implementing and maintaining database security
- Experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems
- Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software
- Experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL
- Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and Oracle Streams replication issues
- Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring issues
- Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests
- Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching
- Recommend design and implementation practices that optimize performance of GOTS/COTS databases and applications
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Oracle Grid/RAC in a Linux environment
- Experience with Mongo, MySQL, and Cassandra
- Experience with real‑time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, and Sybase Replication Server
