Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Senior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Patuxent River, MD. This is a Systems Administrator role that will manage Microsoft Windows based computer systems in support of the PMA-271 program.

This position currently requires an on‑site schedule, with 5 days on‑site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

• Install, configure, administer, support and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
• Administer and support VMware server/clusters environment
• Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology on assigned systems
• Maintain and update operating system security patches
• Maintain the system configuration standard using DoD based Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and external vendors
• Document maintenance, repairs, and test activities; as well as include documentation updates as an integral part of every project
• Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems
• Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Research and implement automated processes to improve operational efficiency
• Analyze and monitor the capacity and performance of systems and software applications and make recommendations for improvements as necessary
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

5% - 10% to other sites, as needed

• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows System Administration
• Active Security+ CE certification
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Knowledge of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) experience
• Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
• Familiarity with the RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be flexible with work schedule to include occasional weekends
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

• Knowledge of Navy systems, Networks, and IT infrastructure
• 7+ years of senior level System Administrator experience
• Microsoft Certified:
  Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is a plus

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification; a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 2 years of professional experience

For this position, the projected compensation range is $115,000 - $155,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
