Your Mission As a Senior Database Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex database systems that drive mission success. You'll oversee the architecture, implementation, and performance of data solutions-ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability across the enterprise. You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:
* A strategic thinker who can translate business needs into advanced data solutions

* Skilled in both relational and object-oriented database design

* Confident leading database development efforts across multiple environments

* Experienced in balancing performance, scalability, and security in large-scale systems A Day In The Life Consists Of:
* Leading database design, development, and implementation across multiple projects

* Directing the creation of database parser and loading software

* Designing and optimizing complex database structures that align with system architecture

* Managing data flow, storage, retrieval, and analysis to support mission-critical operations

* Directing the translation of requirements into database schemas using scripts, queries, and macros

* Overseeing the development of cloud-based database systems using Open Database Connectivity

* Guiding performance tuning, version control, and configuration management best practices

* Evaluating and directing improvements to database processes, storage efficiency, and reliability Must Haves:
* TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

* Ten (10) years of relevant experience

* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university

* Five (5) additional years of DBE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree Nice To Haves:
* Advanced experience with cloud-based and distributed database environments

* Strong understanding of database performance optimization and data governance

* Experience with version control, configuration management, and CI/CD integration

* Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers in database best practices
