ResponsibilitiesCyber threats are pervasive, and their evolving nature can be overwhelming. As an information security risk specialist, you will analyze these threats, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies. You will work with the Intelligence Community to identify cyber risks, understand policies, and craft mitigation plans. Your role involves reviewing technical, environmental, and personnel details, and guiding clients through security strategies with presentations and reports.
You will translate complex security concepts into actionable plans, acting as a subject matter expert in national security and cybersecurity.
You Have:
- 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing security architectures for systems and networks
- Experience with continuous monitoring, incident response, and policy enforcement
- Experience with security risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and recommending corrective actions
- Experience in preparing and reviewing security authorization packages
- Ability to develop and execute enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, or relevant standards
- Knowledge of accreditation and authorization processes ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years of cybersecurity experience
- DoD 8570 IAM I Certification such as Security+ Certification
Clearance:
Applicants must undergo a security investigation; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
The compensation range is approximately $67.31 to $91.35 per hour, depending on various factors including experience and organizational requirements.
