Best Value Technology, Inc. (BVTI) is a service‑disabled veteran‑owned small business (SDVOSB) looking for a motivated, customer‑oriented Systems Administrator to support our federal customer in the Intelligence Community. The role involves a challenging technical environment with opportunities for professional growth. The contract supports the technical environment required to securely support the customer’s acquisition process.

• Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an active polygraph fully adjudicated. Interim clearances will not be accepted.
• U.S. Citizenship required to comply with government contract.

• Implement security‑related software patches in response to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) issued through the DoD information system.
• Monitor and manage user access to various IT resources.
• Configure and install various IT systems (e.g., Redhat 7, Cent Os, Windows Server 2019, Security Center, Nessus, WSUS, Netbackup, and Big Fix).
• Configure and manage high‑availability systems (e.g., Windows Hyper‑V, Xendesktop, Stratodesk, and MySql database replication).
• Maintain security posture of IT systems using Security Center/Nessus suite while following NIST STIGs and guidelines.
• Coordinate and support the administration team for daily tasks, scheduling, installations, upgrades, patches, maintenance and troubleshooting in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure integrity of data recoverability by performing regular system backups, file transfers and offsite backup transportation, storage, and retrieval services.
• Set up and troubleshoot desktop/server peripherals (including software and OS) and ensure customer satisfaction by quickly resolving time‑sensitive problems and documenting resolutions.

• 6‑8 years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA Security+ is strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to occasionally work weekends.

• Bachelor’s in an IT‑relevant career path.
• Cybersecurity experience and/or credentials.
• Any of the following certifications would be a plus:
  • CompTIA Linux+ Certification
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
