We're seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting and evolving our enterprise network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing system-level network architectures, enforcing security boundaries, and supporting datacenter virtualization. This position requires deep expertise in CAN/MAN/LAN environments, packet capture and analysis tools, and a strong command of the TCP/IP protocol stack, routing and switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access control mechanisms.

Responsibilities:
* Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Cisco works, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, Fiber Channel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)

* Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.

* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.

* Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.

* Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.

* Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.

* Able to support on-call requirements.

* Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.

* Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers. Requirements:
* At least five (5) years of experience as a NE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

* A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional NE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 10 years experience.

* Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks. Desired

Experience:

* A strong understanding of High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.

* Hands-on experience with Infiniband and low-latency interconnects in HPC clusters

* Familiarity with RDMA, QoS tuning, and network fabric optimization for compute-intensive workloads

* Working knowledge of Fiber Channel (FC) SAN, iSCSI, and data throughput tuning

* Experience integrating storage networks with HPC compute nodes Security Clearance:
