We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our database systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases, optimizing performance, and implementing strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in database administration, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries
• Manage database backups and recovery processes
• Implement and enforce database security measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
• Create and maintain database documentation

• Proficiency in Oracle database management tools
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Experience with database performance tuning
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques
• Understanding of data security practices
• Ability to manage database replication and clustering

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
• Experience with database migrations and upgrades

Degree (Level Desired): Bachelor's Degree

Degree (Focus): Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Database Management, Systems Engineering, etc.

General comment on degrees:
Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.
