Network Infrastructure Manager

** Queenstown, Eastern Cape**, is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of their extensive network systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the company's network infrastructure, supporting a wide range of services for its customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in network engineering, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and a technical team.

• Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Manage and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and performance management.
• Develop and execute network strategies to meet current and future business needs, including capacity planning and scalability.
• Oversee the configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of network devices and services.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against threats.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and uptime.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation for network emergencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and administration, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Proven experience in managing and securing enterprise-level network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a demanding environment.
