Project Manager - Supply Chain Optimization

Our client, a major player in the distribution and logistics industry, is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on supply chain optimization. This critical role will involve identifying bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the entire supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and project management methodologies.

You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to successful implementation, collaborating closely with operations, procurement, and IT teams. • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of projects aimed at optimizing supply chain operations.
• Analyze existing supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Implement new technologies and systems to support supply chain visibility, efficiency, and performance.
• Oversee the procurement and integration of new logistics solutions and technologies.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on outcomes to senior management.
• Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in supply chain management.
• Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new operational procedures and systems.

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on supply chain, logistics, or operations improvement.
• Proven experience in process analysis and optimization within a complex supply chain environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and supply chain management tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with data analysis and performance metric tracking is essential.
• Knowledge of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
