We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. PurposeThe Cultivation Data Technician position is responsible for a variety of duties on the Analytics Team, dealing both with Cultivation and Processing related data. The focus of the Data Technician is to properly report production and processing information in Maryland Metrc, NAV and internal tracking systems, such as Google and Smartsheet. In addition, the Data Technician is responsible for verifying the accuracy of data entered by other departments and will be assigned various reporting duties as needed.
This position requires a high attention to detail and an intermediate working knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel. The position provides regular and timely communication with Analytics, Cultivation, Post Harvest, Processing, Compliance, Supply Chain and Quality management as well as team members within those departments. The Data Technician is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.
Pay for this role is $19.35/hour
Essential Duties Data Entry and Systems- Create and adjust packages in Maryland Metrc for production and processing purposes.
- Create and adjust inventory in NAV for production and processing purposes.
- Enter and edit data in internal Google Sheets and Excel Reports.
- Maryland Metrc searches and product verification.
- Enter recorded cannabis waste in Maryland.
- Digitally move the plants based on garden audits in Maryland.
- Daily entry of the previous day’s harvest into Maryland.
- Perform physical and digital audits of products in NAV to compare against physical counts and data within Maryland.
- Verify testing data for packages.
- Verify and report plant audits from Cultivation to Maryland.
- Run reports in Maryland Metrc, and NAV in relation to plant counts, on hand inventory, distribution rates and sales.
- Search internal systems on a wide range of data including but not limited to: plants, packages, labor statistics, testing results, etc.
- Accurately compile and scrub data to report on a wide range of activities in multiple departments as assigned.
- Maintain & update internal documents used by the team.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented and that appropriate controls and audit are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.
- Coverage in other areas of Analytics.
- Occasional coverage/assistance for data entry in Post Harvest.
- Creation of Maryland Metrc manifests and NAV transfers as needed.
- Assist Cultivation in any digital processes that they may be behind on. This will include looking for potentially missing plants & assisting Cultivation with.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor of the department.
- Works under the direct supervision of the Cultivation Analytics Manager, also takes direction from the Processing Analytics Manager.
- This person does not supervise others.
- One to three years of data entry experience required.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Excel required.
- One year of experience working in Maryland Metrc preferred.
- Prior experience working within NAV or similar inventory tracking systems preferred.
- Data analysis experience preferred.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and adherence to FIFO.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
- Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC).
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
