Packing Operator

Responsible for labeling, inspecting and packaging final container products using manual and automated packaging systems. Operates and sets up equipment in production lines and may perform additional tasks such as labeling, manual production operations, binder insertion, counting and sorting items, and box assembly or disassembly. Responsible for data entry, imprinting computer‑generated labels, ensuring document completeness and accuracy, and troubleshooting basic packaging problems.

• Package materials according to standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and SOP, including equipment setup, clean‑up, and documentation.
• Fill, assemble, label and inspect products under general supervision.
• Maintain accuracy in weighing materials per SMP and SOP weight tolerances.
• Communicate status of product or process across shift changes through oral or written reports.
• Move required materials from storage or staging areas to work area using material handling equipment.
• Set up and operate production equipment such as weighing scales, hand‑filling equipment, integrated fill lines, bagging, and shrink‑wrap equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records: operation/cleaning logs, batch history, label reconciliation, work order info and other data.
• Identify need for minor equipment repairs.
• Follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Adhere to BD housekeeping and safety policies.
• Work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED.

$19.10 - $29.70 USD Hourly
