Responsible for preparing and operating computer operated cutting equipment to perform the necessary work by downloading programs and placing the required metals and tools to be shaped. Perform test runs of the equipment before final production.

• Modify any problems that are detected before running the needed amount of work pieces.
• Follow at all times proper safety procedures and wear proper safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Communicate to Shop Manager any injury, unsafe act or condition, or failure of equipment.
• Report work performed, findings or results of test runs, and time and materials used in completion of assignment.
• Maintain the work area in neat and clean condition and ensure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage.
• Dispose of waste materials after completion of work assignments.
