Katalyst CRO is seeking an equipment maintenance technician to support our manufacturing facility. Role reports to the Engineering Manager or Production Supervisor.

Perform routine setup, operation, minor and major maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment. Maintain production, quality, downtime and waste levels. Perform mechanical, pneumatic, electrical maintenance and repairs, adjustments, inspections, monitoring. Use judgment and consultation to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. Project positive attitude and good team skills. Effectively work in a team setting supporting team goals and objectives.

Make effective decisions relative to position requirements. Use judgment to plan, perform and problem solve in all maintenance tasks.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to work with various teams.
• Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills, must analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Flexible and adaptable in working with/on a variety of equipment, processes, projects or assignments.
• Understanding and use of trades mathematics, calibration techniques, and precision measuring instruments essential.
• Constant mental and visual attention performing moderately complex work requiring close limits of accuracy and tolerances.

• Use of a PC including MS Excel & MS Word.
• Efficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
• Demonstrate hydraulics, pneumatics aptitude.
• Ability to use multimeter.
• Sensor technology.
• Basic plumbing (fluid and pneumatic).
• Power transmission (gear box, motors, belt and chain drives).
• Electrical troubleshooting of circuits from low level signals up to 480 VAC.

• Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, VFD, servo etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems.
• Mechanical design (AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.)
• SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system (welding).
• Basic skills in use of mill, lathe, welding, bearing press.
