Job Description Summary
Responsible for labeling, inspecting, and packaging final container products with manual and/or automated packaging systems. Operates equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes. May perform other packaging tasks including placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, putting manuals into binders, counting and sorting various items, and forming or breaking down boxes for final product.
May also set‑up, change‑over, and operate labeling and packaging equipment. Responsible for data entry and imprinting computer‑generated labels. Performs initial check of completed documents for completeness and accuracy. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with packaging operations.
- Package materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set‑up, equipment clean‑up, and documentation of such process.
- Fill, assemble, label, and inspect under general supervision.
- Maintain accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances.
- Communicate effectively within the manufacturing team to define status of product or process between shifts either orally or with the use of written status reports.
- Move required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material‑handling equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to set‑up, operate, and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand‑filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), bagging equipment, and shrink‑wrap equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information, and other pertinent data.
- Identify the need for minor equipment repairs.
- Follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Follow all BD housekeeping and safety policies and procedures.
- Be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.

Salary Range Information $19.10 – $29.70 USD Hourly.
