Job Description Summary
Responsible for labeling, inspecting and packaging final container products using manual and/or automated systems. Operates equipment that packages materials by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes. Performs additional tasks such as placing labels, operating small production equipment, binding manuals, counting and sorting items, forming or breaking down boxes, and setting up, changing over and operating labeling and packaging equipment.
Data entry and imprinting of computer-generated labels. Performs initial checks of completed documents for completeness and accuracy. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with packaging operations.
- Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set‑up, equipment clean‑up and documentation of such process
- Filling, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision
- May be responsible for maintaining accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances
- Must be a good communicator within the manufacturing team to effectively define status of product or process between shifts either orally or with the use of written status reports
- May be responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment
- Demonstrates ability to set‑up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand‑filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), bagging equipment and shrink‑wrap equipment
- Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data
- Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs
- Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
- Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
- Performs other duties as required
- High School Diploma or GED

Salary Range Information$19.10 - $29.70 USD Hourly
