Position Summary:
The Auxiliary Operator supports daily plant operations by monitoring and operating auxiliary systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor auxiliary plant systems (ash handling, conveyors, pumps, fans, and related equipment)
- Perform routine field rounds and inspections
- Assist with start-ups, shutdowns, and outage activities
- Respond to alarms and report abnormal conditions
- Support maintenance activities including lockout/tagout
- Maintain accurate logs and communicate with plant operations staff
- Follow all safety, environmental, and site-specific procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and industrial experience preferred
- Ability to work in industrial environments and around heavy equipment
- Willingness to complete site-specific training
- Client-provided operational training is acceptable
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including verification, background check, drug test, medical evaluation, and fit test
