Quartz Fabricator I – Bulb Division

Employment Type:

Full Time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7am–5:30pm (30‑minute lunch break)

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join our Bulb Division as a Quartz Fabricator I. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in manufacturing. In this hands‑on role, you will form and shape precision quartz bulbs used in microwave UV curing equipment, contributing directly to production while learning the skills necessary for advancement to Quartz Fabricator II.

• Perform entry‑level quartz fabrication tasks necessary to produce precision quartz bulbs, including:
• Operating oxygen/propane torches
• Snap cutting quartz
• Using laboratory glass washers and auto lathes
• Preparing quartz blanks and managing furnace operations
• Tip‑off procedures at pump/flush stations
• Packing
• Equipment maintenance
• Conducting product testing
• Following detailed work instructions and procedures
• Inspecting and testing quartz fabrications using tools, fixtures, and gauges
• Promoting and adhering to safe shop practices
• Maintaining accurate records in both written and electronic formats
• Actively learning the responsibilities of a Quartz Fabricator II

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate with other staff members about all related functions.

• High‑school coursework with a strong interest and aptitude in mathematics and science.
• Associate degree in science or college‑level courses in math/science is a plus.

• Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Good vision (corrected or uncorrected).
• Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and crouch without limitations.

Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to quartz fabrication processes.
